Which months have the greenest scenery in Udawalawe?

Right after the inter-monsoonal rains, the park erupts into a deeply green scenery, lush in a way that makes November, December, and April the most visually stunning months to chase landscape photography.

The thick, verdant grass and the newly blossomed foliage make the environment undeniably beautiful, but there is a small trade-off. Because water is scattered all across the park, elephants no longer have to congregate at the main reservoir, and the tall grass can sometimes veil smaller wildlife. Still, for birdwatchers and nature lovers, the post-rain vibrancy is incomparable.
