Where is Udawalawe National Park located?
Udawalawe National Park is found in the southern-central part of Sri Lanka, straddling the border of the Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces.
Geographically, the park spreads over the Ratnapura and Monaragala districts. It is about 165 kilometres from Colombo, the capital city, so it feels rather reachable for travellers coming from the southern coastal beaches like Mirissa or Tangalle, then moving towards the central highlands like Ella or Nuwara Eliya.
