Is one Udawalawe safari enough?

Most travellers find that one half-day morning or evening safari is enough. In that time, you can see many wild elephants and a wide range of other animals.

Some parks are harder to scan because they are more covered in forest. In those places, predators can be the main draw, and you may need more days to track them. Udawalawe is different. The ground is more open, so you can spot the main sights more easily. If you are a serious wildlife photographer or a keen birdwatcher, you might want more than one drive. In that case, you would book trips on different days.
