How many safari jeeps enter Udawalawe each day?

The count of safari jeeps going into Udawalawe seems to waver a lot, from around 50 to 100 vehicles on calmer days, then it jumps to 250 or even more when the holiday rush is on, and people are everywhere.

Because this park is considered a leading tourist stop, traffic jams can happen in the busy season, especially from December to March, and also during local Sri Lankan holidays, mainly near those well-known elephant sightings. To reduce overcrowding, the park management urges guests to wander through separate areas of the reservoir, and the drivers in practice spread out across the path network, so visitors feel a more private wilderness moment.
