Are eagles found in Udawalawe National Park?

Yes, Udawalawe is home to quite a few eagle species, like the Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, and the White-bellied Sea Eagle.

The park has open terrain, plus the big reservoir nearby, so it becomes a very good hunting place for birds of prey. People who watch birds often notice these raptors on dead tree stumps near the water, or gliding up on warm air currents above the savannah.
