Is Udawalawe good in February?

February is often a top choice for Udawalawe. The weather is dry and bright. Days are clear, so you can see wildlife well.

Later in the dry months, the small seasonal ponds start to dry up. When that happens, many animals move towards the Walawe reservoir because it still holds water. You can then spot elephants in larger groups, along with buffalo and different kinds of birds near the water.
