Does Udawalawe have wild dogs?

No. The Sri Lankan wild dog, also called the Dhole, is not usually found or reported inside Udawalawe National Park.

Dhole populations can still be seen in other parts of the island. For example, people have reported them in Wilpattu National Park and in the Knuckles Mountain Range. However, the kind of habitat and the available prey in Udawalawe do not seem to fit resident Dhole groups.
