What time does Udawalawe National Park close?
Udawalawe National Park is officially closed to the public at 6:00 PM each day.
To make sure every visitor and vehicle is able to exit the park safely before nightfall, last entry is usually limited after 4:30 PM. Evening safari jeeps start heading towards the main gates about 5:30 PM. That exact closing hour is enforced by the Department of Wildlife Conservation to reduce human interference during the shift into nocturnal wildlife activity and to keep the process more orderly.
